House Coal
House Coal is a popular coal for use on open fires, and some coal burning appliances. It is available in two sizes: doubles and trebles. Trebles are larger. House coal is easy to light, burns with a long and strong flame, and has a low ash content, making it relatively easy to clean up after.
Doubles
Doubles can be delivered loose in 50kg sacks directly to your coal bunker or in 25kg pre-packed sealed plastic bags.

Smokeless Coal
Smokeless Coal produces more heat and lasts longer than house coal, so you can use less to achieve the same heat output. Smokeless Coal emits less smoke and C02, so it’s also better for the environment. It burns well in both open fires and closed appliances like multifuel stoves. We sell two types of smokeless ‘eggs’.

Burnwell Blend is delivered loose in 50kg sacks directly to your coal bunker.
Newburn ‘Eggs’ (HETAS and DEFRA Approved)
Newburn is delivered in 25kg pre-packed sealed plastic bags but we are also happy to empty them directly into your bunker if you prefer.
Welsh Anthracite
Welsh anthracite is ideal for use in stoves, cookers, boilers and other closed appliances. It burns with a high heat and low flame.

Scottish Peat
Our traditional Scottish peat is a slow burning, economical fuel which smells great as it burns on an open fire or in a stove.
